Thus began one of the most productive collaborations in film history, establishing Sellers as an international star. Sellers repeated his success a year later in A Shot In The Dark, and the character of Inspector Clouseau became synonymous with Peter Sellers. He starred in two more Panther films The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) and Revenge of The Pink Panther (1978).
